Managing requirements and collaboration in Jira with BDD

Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is a software development process that relies on a shared understanding of user requirements (based on examples), and collaboration between business and technical teams. SmartBear is an active supporter of Cucumber, the most popular open source framework for BDD. Combined with our support for the Atlassian marketplace, we have developed Cucumber for Jira. This provides an easy way to integrate developers work with BDD from Git directly into Jira as Living Documentation for project/product managers to understand and connect their work to. In this session, you will learn more about BDD and how it can help managing requirements and fostering collaboration in Jira.

YouTube Show Notes

This is the third of our Monday Night Specials with voices from the Atlassian ecosystem.  Laurent Py joined us from Boston today and took time off from his busy schedule at Smartbear Connect 2020 – SmartBear’s annual user conference (https://smartbear.com/connect/ ), which is also an all virtual and free event this year to talk to us about managing requirements and collaboration in Jira with BDD with Cucumber Studio for Jira and how he introduced BDD in development teams at SmartBear.

Join us again for our fourth Monday Night Special on May 4th (of all days) when we learn from Deiser about how to track projects efficiently with Profields for Jira.
