2021-QII Remote Work Fair

Summer Semester in Berlin and Brandenburg: Lecture times vary a couple of days depending on the institution and state, but generally speaking 12th of April to 23rd of July, so June should be fine and far enough away from any exams to work.

Remote Work Fair
Students meet Remote Workers and Distributed Organizations
Organize an event around remote work in 2021. Remote work and distributed organizations are a major topic for Atlassian, so it even fits within the “boundaries” of an Atlassian Community Event. How does remote work work, examples from companies in our neigborhood as a main program for keynotes and workshops.
Audience: A focus on universities and students, but generally everybody engaged or interested in remote work.
We want universites as event partners to give students an opportunity to learn about and discuss examples of remote work from people who are actually are remote workers or are organizing distributed organizations in the participating companies.
The companies would have an opportunity to post job offers, internships or ideas for Bachelor/Master thesis and discuss them with possible candidates.
We want to use this as an opportunity to maybe try out another platform.
We have already used Hopin - which would be tried and tested - but other platforms for this could be:
Remo: Live Video Conversations Now Simplified - Remote collaboration has never been so simple. (Expensive, but the table metaphor is interesting)
Gather That would be a lot of work, but also fun to build a nice isometric town for the universities and companies.
